Orakei
This house was a design for David Reid Homes which had tight time and design constraints. The site was challenging in that it was narrow and steep. This resulted in a well designed layout that takes full advantage of the small site, and the clients were very happy with.
This is a second house on a steep site of 999m² shaped like a upside down shoe. This new house will be situated along the driveway, on an area a max of 10m wide.
Client brief was for a 3 bedroom family home with a generous living/dining opening to an outdoor living area. To be included was a double garage, study, en-suite and butlers’ pantry. They requested 2-3 different claddings, one being honed concrete block.
The end result was a house that achieved the brief within budget and time. The clients were very happy with the result.
