Cromwell - South Island

Initially consisting of three separate dwellings, this project focused on modifying two about the third. The Awatea residence showcased a seamless integration of various materials, spatial elements, and natural light, culminating in a splendid and practical living space. The picturesque setting overlooking Gulf Harbour allowed us to enhance the view. We replaced the original metal fence with transparent glass panels and redesigned the top floor to mirror the waterfront harbour's aesthetic. This imbued the architecture with a softer, more transparent approach, fostering a sense of harmony and alignment with the surrounding Harbor environment. While planning the outside appearance, the clients also mentioned a need for convenience, leading us to integrate an indoor lift. They were thrilled to be part of crafting a modern and efficient home.
